Tilehurst Water Tower Print: From Local View to Wall Art

What is actually hanging on the wall?

The pictured sample was ordered as a 60 × 90 cm portrait print in a black wooden frame, with Classic Matte 170gsm paper and a plexiglass front. Those are the specifications of this particular earlier sample, not a description of every product now available.

Current sizes, materials and frame options are listed on each product page or in the personaliser. In particular, 60 × 90 cm and A1 are different dimensions, so do not use this photograph as an exact size guide for an A1 order.

What the real room photograph tells you

The dining chairs below the frame provide context that a close-up of the artwork cannot. You can see the relationship between the print and everyday furniture, the dark frame against a light wall, and the space left around the picture.

You can also see reflections in the glazing. We have kept them in the photograph rather than presenting the print as a perfectly flat digital image. The way any framed print looks will change with the light, viewing angle and position in your room.

A room photograph still cannot show colour exactly as it will appear in every home. Screens, lighting and photography all affect the impression. Use it to understand the overall look, then use product measurements to plan the position on your own wall.

Why local wall art makes a personal choice
